These are the developments I have made to the book covers. I have tried to experiment with the size, colours and type designs. I am quite pleased with how the designs are developing, I am preferring the type larger and covering more of the front. This creates a better hierarchy and is much more eye catching.
I am not really a fan of cutting the cover up using black and coloured panels - it makes the main type look squashed. I think that making the author and logo smaller is a good move though, it helps to give the main type space, and helps the designs to feel more balanced.
